Marzipan is a delicious confection used to create Danishes and the cute edible figures on the top of birthday and wedding cakes. What You Need

  • 18 tablespoons unsalted softened infused butter (that you made with your Magical Butter Herbal Infuser of course)
  • 9 ounces of marzipan (softened)
  • ¾ cup superfine sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon almond essence
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 25cm / 10-inch spring form tube pan or patterned ring mold, buttered and floured
  • Store bought icing drizzle
  • Almond Flakes


What You Do

  • Preheat oven to 325ºF
  • Chop the butter and marzipan to make them easier to break down
  • Put butter and marzipan in the bowl of the food processor with the sugar
  • Process until combined very smooth
  • Add almond essence and vanilla extract then process again
  • Break the eggs one at a time through the funnel, process each time.
  • Tip the flour down the funnel, processing one more time
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared tin mold
  • Bake for 50 minutes
  • When cake looks golden and cooked, remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin
  • Top with toasted almond flakes and icing drizzle
  • Pick your bong back up and enjoy!
